These terms apply to mamunurrahman.com and to the services offered by Mamunur Rahman (“I”, “me”), a freelance web, SEO and digital-marketing consultant based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. By using this website or hiring me, you agree to them. If you have accepted a written quote, proposal or scope of work from me (including by email or WhatsApp), that document comes first where the two differ. For Upwork or Fiverr orders, see section 7.
My services are for businesses and professionals. By hiring me, you confirm you are acting for business purposes.
1. Information on this website
Articles, guides and examples on this site are general information, not professional advice for your specific situation. I keep them accurate and up to date, but search engines and platforms change often, so please check before relying on anything important. Package descriptions and price ranges are a guide, not a binding offer. The final price is the one in your written quote.
2. Free audits and consultations
Free audits and first calls are no-obligation. An audit is based on publicly available information (your website, your Google Business Profile, search results) at the time I check it. It is my honest opinion, not a guarantee of results. You are free to use the findings yourself or with anyone else.
3. Paid work
- Scope: every paid project starts with a written quote or scope of work that lists the deliverables, timeline, exclusions and price. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before I start it.
- Payment: one-off projects usually need a deposit (typically 50%) before work begins, with the balance due on completion, unless the quote says otherwise. Monthly services are billed in advance each month. Invoices state the currency and payment method. Prices exclude third-party costs and bank or transfer fees. I may pause work while an invoice is overdue.
- Your part: projects depend on you providing timely access, content, feedback and approvals. Delays on either side move the timeline.
- Cancellation: monthly services can be cancelled with the notice stated in your quote or, if none is stated, 30 days’ written notice. If you cancel a project after work has begun, I keep the part of the deposit that covers work done and time reserved, and refund the rest, unless the quote says otherwise.
4. Your accounts, content and ad spend
- You stay the owner of your domain, hosting, Google Business Profile, Google Analytics, Search Console and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ad accounts. I am added as a user or manager and use that access only for your project.
- Advertising budgets are paid by you directly to Meta, Google or other platforms. They are not part of my fees.
- You are responsible for your business information, offers and advertising claims being accurate and following platform policies and local law.
- You confirm you have the right to use the logos, images and text you give me for your project.
- I keep your non-public business information and login details confidential and use them only for your project.
5. No guaranteed rankings or results
Nobody controls Google’s rankings, Google Maps results, or the performance of Meta ads. I use established, Google-compliant and ethical methods and report honestly on progress, but I do not guarantee specific positions, traffic, leads or revenue.
6. Ownership of work
- You own the final deliverables made for you (for example your website design, written content and reports) once the project is paid in full.
- I keep ownership of my general tools, templates, code snippets and know-how, and I may reuse them in other work. Your confidential information is never reused.
- Third-party items (themes, plugins, fonts, stock photos, software subscriptions) are covered by their own licences.
- Portfolio: after a project is finished I may describe it in my portfolio (for example “built a website for a yoga studio”) and show screenshots of the live public work, without pricing or confidential details. Your business name and any testimonial are used only with your approval, and you can ask me not to name you.
7. Upwork and Fiverr orders
If you hire me through Upwork or Fiverr, that platform’s terms govern the contract, payment and any disputes.
8. Liability
I carry out all work with reasonable care and skill. As far as the law allows, my total liability for any project is limited to the fees you paid me for that project (not including advertising spend). I am not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits, or for problems caused by third-party services (hosting, plugins, platforms such as Google or Meta) or by changes made to your website by others. Please keep your own backups; I normally take backups before significant changes. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, such as liability for fraud.
9. Links and third-party services
This site links to other websites and uses third-party services (for example WhatsApp, Google and Hostinger). I am not responsible for their content or practices.
10. Privacy
How I handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction. If a disagreement arises, we will first try to resolve it in good faith by talking directly before taking any other step. I may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version, and work already agreed stays under the terms that applied when it was agreed.
